Reading your test report

Score, sections, marks you can win back, guess analysis, attempt strategy, and why we never show a 'selection chance'.

Your report opens as soon as you submit. Here is what each part tells you, from top to bottom.

The headline numbers

  • Score: your net marks (marks for right answers minus negative marking) out of the maximum.
  • Accuracy: right answers ÷ questions you answered.
  • Attempted: the share of questions you answered, how many you left blank, and the time you used.
  • Rank among Successfied users: see "Rank and percentile" below.
  • Successfied Score™ (when you are logged in): your overall progress measure. See how it is calculated.

Marks you can win back

  • Lost to negative marking: marks deducted for wrong answers.
  • Easy questions missed: D1 and D2 questions you got wrong, and what they cost you (the marks you missed plus the penalty). These are usually the cheapest marks to recover.
  • Time sinks: questions that took more than twice their expected time, and at least a minute.

Section by section

For each section: score, right, wrong, blank, time used and an attempt-strategy tip. A section labelled "qualifying" is scored but not added to your total, as in the official pattern.

Attempt strategy: when does answering pay?

If a right answer earns m marks and a wrong one costs n, answering is worth it on average only when your chance of being right is above the break-even accuracy:

break-even = n ÷ (m + n)

On average one answer is worth p × m − (1 − p) × n marks, where p is your chance of being right. With four options a blind guess is right 25% of the time; ruling out one option raises that to 33%, and ruling out two raises it to 50%.

No negative marking0%Always answer: a blank can never score

These are averages over many questions, not a promise about any single one. Once you have answered at least 5 questions in a section, the report compares its break-even with your own accuracy there:

  • well above break-even: attempt more;
  • close to break-even: answer only when you can rule out options;
  • in between: keep your attempt level and work on accuracy;
  • no negative marking: never leave a question blank.

Sure vs 50-50 vs guess

If you tagged your answers during the test, this shows for each tag how many answers you gave, the share that were right, and the net effect: marks gained minus marks lost under this exam's marking. A negative net effect on "Guess" means your guesses cost you marks in this test; a positive one means they paid. Across tests, the Calibration card in the Analytics tab shows how often your "Sure" answers are actually right.

Topics and the time map

The topic table shows right answers out of questions asked, and your time against the expected time, shaded green, amber or red. The time map draws one bar per question: its height is your time ÷ the expected time (green for right, red for wrong, grey for blank). It also counts the questions you came back to and answered.

Question-by-question review

Filter by All, Wrong, Blank or Right. Each question shows your answer, the correct answer, your time against the expected time, a step-by-step explanation and why the other options tempt. For each wrong answer, tag the reason: Concept gap, Silly mistake, Misread, Time pressure or Guessed. The tag is saved in your Mistake Notebook.

Rank and percentile

Rank and percentile appear only when at least 50 students have taken the test (first attempts by logged-in students). With fewer results the number would jump around, so until then we show "Not yet" and how many attempts there are so far. Your percentile is the share of those attempts that scored below you. Both are "among Successfied users", not among everyone who sits the real exam.

Why we never show a "selection chance"

You won't find "your chance of selection: 78%" anywhere on Successfied. We refuse to show it, because nobody can honestly calculate it from a mock:

  • Selection depends on the real paper, the number of vacancies, category-wise cut-offs, normalisation and later stages such as document verification. A mock sees none of these.
  • The students who use Successfied are not a fair sample of everyone who sits the exam.
  • A precise-looking percentage would be a guess dressed up as a fact. It could make you relax too early or panic for no reason.

Instead we show what you can act on: where your marks went, which topics to fix, and how your own scores move over time. If you set your category in your profile, the Analytics tab also shows how far your last mock is from the last official cut-off, with its source, as a reference point and not a prediction.

Questions

Why does my rank say "Not yet"?

Fewer than 50 students have made a first attempt at this test so far. Your rank appears once that number is reached; open the report again later.

I practiced as a guest. How do I keep my report?

Create an account and log in on the same phone or browser: the tests you took as a guest move into your account. Ranks and the Mistake Notebook count only tests taken while you are logged in.

An explanation looks wrong.

Press "Report an error" under that question. We check every report. See Report an error in a question.
