Topic mastery
The Topic Mastery Map in your Analytics tab estimates how well you know each syllabus topic, from every question you have answered in it while logged in.
- Recent answers count more. Each new answer in a topic makes the older ones count 3% less. An answer from 23 questions ago counts about half as much as your latest one, so the map follows your improvement instead of holding on to old mistakes.
- Harder questions count a little more. A D5 question counts twice as much as a D1 question.
The confidence band: "not enough data yet"
Each estimate has a shaded band around it: the range your true level most likely lies in. We calculate it with a standard statistical method called the Wilson interval (at 95%). The idea is simple: the fewer answers we have, the less sure we can be.
| Answers in the topic | Right | Likely range |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 4 (80%) | about 38% to 96% |
| 50 | 40 (80%) | about 67% to 89% |
Same 80%, very different certainty. A wide band means "not enough data yet": answer more questions in that topic before you trust the number. A topic's estimate stays hidden until you have answered at least 5 questions in it; until then it tells you how many more you need.
The Readiness card on your workspace Home combines syllabus coverage with mastery and names your strongest and weakest topics. It unlocks once you have answered at least 5 questions in each of 3 topics.
Today's 3 tasks
Every day, for each exam, we pick three tasks from your own data, in this order of priority:
- Revise due mistakes, if any Mistake Notebook items are due today.
- A topic quiz on your weakest topic: the lowest mastery among topics where you have at least 5 answers. Topics you haven't started yet come right after your clearly weak ones.
- A full mock, if it has been a while since your last one: 7 days when the exam is more than 60 days away (or has no date yet), 4 days when it is 21 to 60 days away, and 2 days in the last 20 days.
If a slot is still free, you get a short Learn task on your next weakest topic, or the Daily Sprint. Tasks don't shuffle when you refresh the page. After each test you submit, the tasks you haven't done yet are picked again from your new results; tasks you've finished stay ticked.
Your weekly plan
The My Plan tab splits the weekly study hours you set in your profile (10 if you haven't set any) across four kinds of work, depending on how far away the exam is:
| Phase | Days to exam | Learn | Practice | Mocks | Revise mistakes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Build | More than 60, or no date yet | 40% | 35% | 15% | 10% |
| Sharpen | 21 to 60 | 25% | 35% | 25% | 15% |
| Final | 20 or fewer | 10% | 25% | 45% | 20% |
Days to exam are counted from the exam date shown on the exam page.
My Plan also lists your five focus topics: your weakest syllabus topics right now. They come from your live mastery data, so they update as soon as you submit a mock or a quiz.
